Let your body move… Let your heart groove
“Some words are better left unsaid…”
Dance has always been my way of speaking from within. No techniques, no tricks — just plain YOU moving and immersing yourself with the music. It always makes me feel vibrant and refreshed.
Through dance, it’s like you’re taken into a whole different world where everything is just honest and perfect. The cypher is like a dream— where you can be who you want to be, no prejudices, no pretensions, no lies.
It’s YOU dancing your heart out. Dancing for yourself. Dancing because it makes you feel ALIVE. Dancing because your grateful - whether you’re happy or heartbroken - you DANCE because you just have to.
But sometimes, no matter how much heart you put into your dance, some moves never pass through. For some reason, the heart feels weak, and so the body follows. The story gets lost and it’s hard to get right back on track. Then the worst comes, you just start doubting yourself. You start asking if it’s really meant for you — if dancing is still you — if dancing still defines you.
But I realize, that sometimes it’s not just the heart that defines how much you are committed to something you really love.
It’s not just about having the heart - YOU STILL HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE CARE OF THE ONES THAT MATTERS TO YOU. You have to nourish it and grow with it. You have to go out there and explore - not just let your heart shine through, but rather, make everyone feel your soul.
This whole new perspective has given me enough courage to take a leap. I started listing down all the things that I want to learn to improve my craft. It will be a forever commitment. It’s time to get back up and stop lingering on the frustrations. It’s always good to get back on my purpose, to look back on the reason why I started dancing after all.
I WILL ALWAYS DO IT FOR THE RIGHT REASONS. THIS WILL KEEP ME HUMBLE AND HUNGRY FOR MORE. :)
